Rangat, April 30: The outstanding service during the time of the lockdown shown by the police personnel of Rangat Jurisdiction has ‘lifted up Deputy Superintendent’s head’ with pride.
Talking to Andaman Sheekha recently, the Deputy Superintendent of Police, Rangat Subdivision Mr. R. K. Sharma said that from day one of the lockdown, his subordinates tirelessly worked hard to inform the public about Social Distancing as well as they served day and night to maintain law and order.
“Wherever necessary the police personnel without any fear took stringent action, the penalty was imposed against all street roamers, who tried to break the rule,” said Mr. Sharma.
DySP Sharma also said that the Police Unit under his jurisdiction has collected around Rs 27,300 by penalizing 200 violators.
Mr. Sharma further lauded the efforts Sub Inspector S.K.Debnath of Betapur Police Outpost for discharging his outstanding humanitarian services by shouldering a dead body of a poor villager of Panchwati area to handover to deceased family and in another case, SI Debnath himself paddled a wooden dinghy to bring serious cancer patients from Dhaninallah Dispensary.
“Such an outstanding job wouldn’t have been possible without the support of the people and the administration under his jurisdiction, hence, I also appreciate them for co-operating nicely with the police,” said DySP Sharma.
