Port Blair, Nov 27: Taking immediate action on Andaman Sheekha’s report on the horrible condition of Rangat’s Children’s Park on 27th November issue, the Assistant Commissioner of Rangat has directed the officials of concerned Panchayat to start the repair works of the Park immediately.
Following the direction the officials of concerned Panchayat visited the park today and assigned report works to Daily Rated Mazdoor. Today the wild grasses were cleaned and the playing area was made level for children.
The Panchayat Officials assured villagers that proper lights will be placed inside the park within a week. They also assured to put better tiles inside the park and remove unwanted tiles from areas, where it can hurt children. The officials also assured to purchase new playing items for kids inside the park. Meanwhile, residents of Rangat area have expressed gratitude towards Andaman Sheekha for highlighting the issue.
