N&M Andaman, Apr 07: On 05/04/19 at 1730 hrs during the routine picketing at Kalara Junction one passenger Bus plying from Port Blair to Diglipur was checked and while searching the bus the police team noticed a person who was trying to hide a polythene bag on watching the police party. On suspicion the person was checked and found with a sum of Rs.1,59,990/- cash in his possession. Later on, upon questioning the person could not produce any document regarding the same and failed to answer proper intended destination. Upon this he was brought to Police Station Kalighat and the cash amount of Rs.1,59,990/- were taken into police custody under the cover of Seizure memo and the information about the seizure has been given to the Retuning Officer. The whole operation was commanded by SI Roshan George, SHO PS Kalighat under the supervision of Mr. Sukant S. Ballabh, SDPO Diglipur.
