Port Blair, Apr 07: In the upcoming Lok Sabha Election, 2019 which will be held on 11.04.2019, the following diversions are proposed for the smooth flow of vehicular traffic.
All the vehicular traffic shall remain suspended in the stretches from Y-Narayan Junction, Dharamsala and Old Scout Hut to Netaji Stadium on 10.04.2019 from 0500 hrs to till the end to supply of election materials from Netaji Stadium. No vehicle shall be allowed to proceed towards Netaji Stadium from any side except election duty vehicles. Buses of election duty shall be parked in-front of Youth Hostel and Veledrome parking and other election duty vehicles shall be parked at Netaji Stadium’s parking.
All the vehicular traffic shall remain suspended in the stretches from Govt. Press, Rama Krishna Mission and Girls School to JNRM on 11.04.2019 from 1815 hrs until the completion of EVMs collection. No vehicle shall be allowed to proceed towards JNRM from any side except election duty vehicles. Election duty vehicles shall be parked at Girls school parking or Netaji Stadium Parking after depositing election materials. Entry on the aforementioned stretch would remain restricted on 12.04.2019, 1400 hrs onwards. Hence, the general public is hereby requested to cooperate with traffic personnel during the time of diversions, Superintendent of Police (Traffic), A&N Islands said.
