Sri Vijaya Puram, October 23: MP Mr. Bishnu Pada Ray, with his staff, met the CPA at Sri Vijaya Puram today and reviewed the latest status of the dilapidated condition of 40 jetties across the Andaman and Nicobar Islands, including the financial implications and implementation status of the proposed repair and reconstruction works.
The review was undertaken to assess the progress made and identify the pending issues requiring urgent intervention and the fund requirement from the Ministry, enabling the MP to raise the same at the forthcoming Shipping Ministry meeting scheduled to be held at Puri, Odisha, on November 3, 2026, where he is a member of the committee.
