Port Blair, July 03: The Internet Connectivity crisis deepened in Andaman and Nicobar Islands as the BSNL today announced rotational load shedding in Broadband service.
Internet Connectivity was already dead slow in these far flung Islands due to limited availability of satellite bandwidth.
“BSNL, A & N is forced to exercise rotational load shedding of broadband services due to limited availability of bandwidth. By means of this load shedding, sufficient speed can be provided to other working Broadband Customers and overall performance of Broadband win these Islands will improve considerably,” the Deputy General Manger (Admin) BSNL, A & N Telecom Circle informed media today.
According to BSNL this arrangement will be introduced on trial basis for two weeks.
“Depending upon the feedback and improvement on performance of Broadband, this will be extended further,” the DGM added.
After curtailment in water supply, one and half hour long power load shedding, the latest announcement of load shedding in Broadband service is bound to upset Islanders of this remote territory.
I thought its a Joke, OMG! its not a Joke but a CRUEL JOKE. The point is consumers paying for an unlimited plan is entitled to unlimited service. By imposing cut in BB service, the BSNL must compensate the customer by cut in the bill proportionately for the period wherein BB was cut. Or else this will come under DEFICIENCY in service, liable to be proceeded against.
