Diglipur, July 03: One person today died at Diglipur when his bike collided with the SUV (Scorpio) of local Member of Parliament.
According to information received here victim, Mr. Dulal Das, S/o Late Mahendro Das, R/o Aerial Bay was driving his bike without license. According to reports, at Madhupur Road, Mr. Dulal Das gave right indicator signal to an omni, which was coming from opposite direction, for reason unknown. This reportedly confused the Omni driver who moved his vehicle suddenly to another direction, which took the bike rider by surprise.
Here the driver MP’s Scorpio, which was behind the Omni, thought that the Omni is giving passage for the Scorpio. When the driver tried to overtake the Omni, he came infront of the Bike rider, resulting in the accident. Before the collision the Bike rider reportedly broke one of the side mirrors of the Omni. The Bike rider was immediately taken to nearby Hospital, where is succumbed to his injuries. The SUV of the MP was taken to nearby Police Station.
