Sri Vijaya Puram, Aug 10: The State President of Hindu Rashtra Shakti (Andaman and Nicobar Unit), Mr. Rakeshwar Lall, today lauded the swift and efficient efforts of the Andaman and Nicobar Police—particularly the team at Aberdeen Police Station, led by SHO Mr. Vishal Ram, and the Police Control Room (Parikrama)—for successfully reuniting a lost child with her family on August 9, 2025.
The incident involved a 7-year-old girl of VKV Ranchi Basti. After participating in Raksha Bandhan celebrations at her school, she lost her way and was found distressed near Aboo Pan Shop in School Line around 9:00 AM.
Upon being alerted at 10:45 AM, Mr. Rakeshwar Lall immediately informed SHO Vishal Ram, who promptly mobilized a police team. With timely coordination between the Police Control Room and Aberdeen Police Station, the child was safely reunited with her parents by 12:30 PM.
In recognition of this exemplary response, Hindu Rashtra Shakti (HRS), A&N Islands, commends the dedication of the local police force in ensuring the safety and well-being of the community, particularly its youngest members.
Considering this incident, HRS has proposed the following child safety recommendations for implementation across all government and private schools in the Union Territory:
Mandatory Student ID Cards with verified contact information for parents or guardians.
Stricter School Supervision, especially during events or festivals, to ensure no child is left unattended.
Regular Safety Drills and Awareness Campaigns to educate children on safety practices and what to do if lost.
HRS has formally requested the Lieutenant Governor of Andaman and Nicobar Islands to consider issuing appropriate directions to the Education Department for urgent implementation of these measures in the public interest.
