Sri Vijaya Puram, Sept 15: On15.09.2026, Mr. P Ummer, Adhyaksh, Zilla Parishad, South Andaman, along with Mr. S. Boominathan, Zilla Parishad Member, Beodnabad Constituency; Mr. A. Ummer, Zilla Parishad Member, Wimberlygunj Constituency; Mr. P. Abdul Bashir, Pradhan, Gram Panchayat Kanyapuramand engineering officials of ZP SA, inspected the ongoing work of “Renovation of CC Road from village road to Mr. Palani House including a protection wall near Mr. Chellaiah House at Calicut Ward No. 06 under ZP SA.”
The existing CC road, constructed around 21 years ago, had deteriorated considerably and was in a highly depleted condition, causing inconvenience to the local residents. The renovation of the road was a long-standing demand of the villagers, which has now been taken up by Zilla Parishad, South Andaman.
During the inspection, the Adhyaksh reviewed the progress of the work and directed the engineering officials to ensure quality execution and timely completion. He also appreciated the Engineering Wing of ZP SA for its efficient efforts in executing the work despite constraints, including adverse weather conditions. The renovated road and protection wall will improve road safety, durability and connectivity for the local residents.
