Sri Vijaya Puram, Aug. 7: Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission (ABDM) is a flagship scheme of GoI administered by National Health Authority (NHA) under the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, GoI. It was launched on 27th September, 2021 to create a national digital health ecosystem, enabling seamless access to health records and improving healthcare delivery. The ongoing implementation of ABDM in the Union Territory aims to empower individuals with knowledge about various digital health initiatives. ABDM comprises of three essential components:
Ayushman Bharat Health Account (ABHA): Enables individuals to securely and efficiently access and manage their health records.
Health Facility Registry (HFR): A verified, centralized database that lists all health facilities in India, including hospitals, clinics, and labs. It ensures transparency and supports digital services like e-hospital records and tele-consultations.
Healthcare Professionals Registry (HPR): A registry of licensed medical professionals, such as doctors and nurses, capturing their qualifications, registration details, and practice locations.
To raise awareness about ABDM among students and frontline healthcare workers, the Project Management Unit, ABDM, Sri Vijaya Puram organized an orientation-cum-awareness programme for the students of Government Girls Senior Secondary School, Sri Vijaya Puram and ANMs & ASHAs attached with PHCs and UHCs, Sri Vijaya puram. The events focused on enhancing digital health literacy and updating participants on the latest developments in the health sector through the Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission.
