Rangat, July 11, 2025: A 41-year-old fisherman, Mr. Dulal Biswas, a resident of Shyamkund, Middle Andaman, has gone missing under mysterious circumstances after setting out on a fishing trip earlier this week. The incident has raised serious concern among the local community and prompted search operations by the police.
According to the information received from Police Station Rangat, Mr. Dulal Biswas, son of Late Batul Biswas, ventured into the creek on July 4, 2025, in his engine-powered dinghy for a routine fishing expedition. However, when his brother went looking for him on July 7, he discovered the dinghy anchored in the Crocodile infested creek, but Mr. Dulal was nowhere to be found. Despite extensive efforts by family members and neighbors, no trace of him has been found so far.
Mr. Dulal Biswas is described as approximately five feet tall, of medium build, with a shallow complexion and a distinctive cut mark on his head. At the time of his disappearance, he was last seen wearing orange half-pants and a short-sleeved T-shirt. In response to the missing person report, Rangat Police have launched a search operation and urged residents in the nearby areas, especially those along the coastline and creeks, to remain alert and report any sighting or clue that may assist in the investigation. Search operations are also being carried out in coordination with local fishermen and villagers familiar with the terrain and water routes.
