Diglipur, Sep 05: The Assistant Commissioner Diglipur, Mr. Vivek kumar today advised R K Gram, Gram Panchayat to construct a new fish market near the Community Hall R K Gram where 50% of middle men and 50 % of the regular fishermen will share the market place, which was agreed by all the parties.
A meeting organized by the Asst. Commissioner Diglipur and Department of Fisheries, Diglipur today for fixing prices of fish in Diglipur Fish Market, which was attended by the Pramukh, Mr Gauranga Dutta and Staffs of Fisheries Department, Pradhans of all Panchayats and PRI members and about 90 fishermen and the local public.
In the meeting some of the fishermen alleged the AC that the middlemen in fishing community are not paying proper Minimum Support Price for fish. The fishermen also complained that some of the middleman occupied the fish-market and they are not allowing them to sell the fish.
Further the AC along with others fixed the prices of the fish in Diglipur, which is as followed: Surmai 200/-, Farsa(B) 140/-(M)120/- (S)70/-, Pumplet/betki/java 140/-,Dandoos/Mrigal/lal Gobra80/-,Maya/tarni,Bangri 50/- Prawn (B)250/- (S)150, Crab 150/- ujala crab 100/- Magoor 200/-, Chanda/Kokari 80/- Putti 80/-Singhi 250/-, Katla 220/- Kokari 100/-.
