Port Blair, Sep 05: Mr. Kuldeep Rai Sharma, President, PCC today requested the Superintending Engineer, APWD, Er. Newazesh Ali to make the 2000 ltrs cemented water tank in Padauk Bagicha operational and fill water in the tank atleast thrice a week.
Under the leadership of Mr Sharma a delegation of general public of Mannarghat village met with the SE, APWD and briefed him about the drinking water scarcity problem of Mannarghat .“The housewives of the colony find it very difficult to fetch drinking water from the main road which is 200 mtrs far from their colony,” Mr Sharma told SE.
Mr Sharma also requested the SE to expedite renovation of Mannarghat Commissionarate Nallah Dam at the earliest. Mr. Newazesh Ali reportedly assured Mr Sharma that he will look into the matter seriously.
