Campbell Bay, Aug 18: Following inputs received from Coast Guard, a search operation has been launched by the Campbell Bay Police Station. The Police Station was intimated by Coast Guard that a few fishermen had seen poachers near Afra Bay area of Great Nicobar, following which a team of PS Campbell Bay, consisting of SHO Campbell Bay, Mr. Subramani, 5 other police Jawans and IRBn team, headed by Dy.SP Campbell Bay Jagdev Singh Yadav launched a search operation very early this morning with the help of Coast Guard. However, after searching whole night the team could not locate any poacher and the team returned to Campbell Bay this afternoon. Meanwhile another team has been sent for search operation in the region.
