Port Blair, Aug 18: A lady of Billyground area was arrested today following complaint lodged by District Child Protection Officer of North and Middle Andaman to PS Billyground against the lady. The lady, who is facing charges of hitting and injuring her minor son, was however given bail on the same day.
On July 31, a minor boy of Billyground was brought to PHC Billyground with deep injuries below his left eye. At hospital the minor boy and his uncle reportedly gave statement that the boy was hit by his step-mother over issue of washing school uniform. As this case is related to a minor child the identity of the minor and accused was not disclosed.
