Port Blair, June 06 : Due to prevailing adverse conditions the Directorate of Shipping Services keeping in view the safety of the passengers and the vessel may be forced to suspend or cancel the announced schedule especially in the foreshore sector. Hence, general public are advised to plan their journey accordingly keeping in view the present weather condition for avoiding any inconvenience.
In view of this, advance reservation of passenger tickets at STARS Ticketing Counters for foreshore sector will be done 2 days prior to the sailing date of departure instead of 03 days in advance, a communication from Deputy Director (SS) said here today.
