Port Blair, Sept 13: Coast Guard retrieved adrift Wave Rider Buoy of Indian National Centre for Ocean Information Services (INCOIS) used for early Tsunami Warning and Weather predictions in the A&N Islands on 12 Sep 15. On receipt of information from A&N Centre for Ocean Science and Technology (ANCOST), Coast Guard Ship on patrol located and towed the buoy to Port Blair. Coast Guard is the nodal agency for Search and Rescue (SAR) and committed to assist civil authorities and scientific community in the A&N islands.
