Port Blair, Sept 13: To sensitise and create awareness on Fire Prevention – Fire Protection including Fire Risk & Disaster Preparedness among School/ Collage students, Govt. Servants, General Public a lecture cum demonstration classes on “ First Aid Fire Fighting and Disaster Mitigation & Medical First Aid” was conducted by all Fire Stations including Fire Stations in inter-Islands at different location in their jurisdiction. The training was held from 07/09/2015 to 11/09/2015 in three Districts at 03 places consisting Schools, Govt. Building premises & Public places/ villages.
Altogether, 873 School students, 705 Teachers, 63 Govt. Servants 69 & General public 36 are participated in the training programme.
Such training is being organising every week in the Islands by all Fire Stations of A&N Police Fire Stations to increase community outreach.
