Port Blair, July 27: A team of Special Branch CID consisting of ASI, Rakesh Singh, ASI C.B Singh, HC/1349 S. Thimmiraj, HC/613 Suden Dey, HC/1059 Ibrahim, HC/2411 Mohd. Rafique, PC/1904 Somen Biswas, PC/848 Vinodh Kumar, PC/1459 Milton Baul, PC/1496 Muthu Swamy, PC/775 Arun Xaxa and PC/1004 Suraj Kumar apprehended Gamblers namely Mohd. Zahid, Ibrahim, Abdul Quader, Ikram Bux, K. Srinu, A. Elango, Y. Madhav Rao, A. Gurumurthy, S. Hema Rao, G. Joga Rao, S. Harinarayan, R. Joga Rao, M. Shiva, M. Appa Rao, A. Krishna Rao, N. Kamraj and B. Dhania in two different raids conducted on Saturday and Monday from the Vehicle Shed of Labour Commissioner Office and Dairy Farm, Sea Shore Road near Shiv Mandir and recovered Rs 13,450/- (Rupees Thirteen Thousand four hundred fifty only) and ₹. 31,715/- (Rupees Thirty One thousand Seven hundred Fifteen only) respectively from the spot. They were challaned under the Andaman & Nicobar Gambling Regulation.
