Sri Vijaya Puram, September 15: An Awareness Programme on Career Opportunities in the Territorial Army was organized by the 154 Infantry Battalion (TA) Bihar for third-year undergraduate students of Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Botany, Zoology, Geography and Computer Science at the Lecture Gallery, Jawaharlal Nehru Rajkeeya Mahavidyalaya, Sri Vijaya Puram.
The keynote address was delivered by Lt. Col. Naveen Kumar Sinha, who provided detailed insights into the role of the Territorial Army, recruitment pathways for soldiers, and the commissioning process for officers. He encouraged students to consider the defence services as a noble career option and an opportunity to serve the nation.
The programme was coordinated by Lt. Dr. Vivek Kumar Sahu, ANO, and witnessed active participation from students, faculty members, NCC cadets and their ANOs.
The programme received an enthusiastic response, with students gaining valuable insights into career opportunities in the Territorial Army. The initiative helped strengthen the academic–defence interface and inspired young people to pursue disciplined service to the nation.
