Sri Vijaya Puram, September 15: The Institution of Engineers (India), Andaman & Nicobar State Centre (IEI ANSC), celebrated the 59th Engineers’ Day on September 15, 2026, at the ALHW Conference Hall, Mohanpura, on the theme “Engineering Excellence for a Sustainable and Technologically Sovereign India.”
The programme commenced with a welcome address by Er. Usha Stephen, FIE, Chairperson, IEI ANSC, followed by the presentation of the annual report by Er. Debdas Paik, MIE, Honorary Secretary.
The event featured addresses by Comdt. Naresh Kumar Sharma, Superintendent, CGRPT, Srivijayapuram, who was the keynote speaker; Er. Prabhat Kumar Singh, Executive Director (Projects), NHIDCL, the Special Guest; and Maj Gen Dr. Shri Pal, VSM (Retd), FIE, the Chief Guest.
The inaugural function concluded with a vote of thanks by the Honorary Secretary. The celebration was attended by corporate members and committee members of IEI ANSC.
The programme was followed by a technical session conducted by Er. C. H. Kiran Kumar. The occasion also featured the felicitation of J. Dinesh, B.Tech Third Year, DBRAIT, for his performance in the poster presentation competition.
