Sri Vijaya Puram Sept 13: The Andaman Association of Tour Operators (AATO) successfully conducted its Andaman Tourism Roadshows in Lucknow and Jaipur, further strengthening its outreach to key North Indian tourism markets and creating new opportunities to promote the Andaman & Nicobar Islands.
Led by Mr. M. Vinod, President, AATO, the 25 members delegation engaged with leading travel agents, tour operators and tourism stakeholders in both cities. The roadshows provided an effective platform for B2B networking, destination promotion, business-to-business interactions and strengthening long-term trade partnerships.
A key highlight of the roadshows was a presentation on “Destination Andaman” by Mr. Saikat Biswas, General Secretary, AATO. He briefed the travel trade fraternity on the wide range of tourism experiences available in the islands, including pristine beaches, marine tourism, adventure activities, eco-tourism, historical attractions and emerging destinations.
The presentation also highlighted the potential for travel trade partners in Uttar Pradesh and Rajasthan to develop and promote attractive Andaman packages for their clientele, thereby generating greater tourist movement to the islands.
The roadshows received an enthusiastic response from the travel trade fraternity in both Lucknow and Jaipur, with extensive interactions between the AATO delegation and local tourism stakeholders. Discussions focused on increasing awareness of Andaman, developing new business linkages and exploring opportunities to position the islands more strongly in the North Indian market.
Speaking after the successful roadshows, Mr. M. Vinod, President, AATO, expressed his sincere gratitude to the travel trade fraternity of Lucknow and Jaipur.
Mr. Vinod also appreciated the entire AATO delegation for their dedicated efforts in making these roadshows successful.
The roadshows form part of AATO’s continued efforts to connect Andaman with new source markets across India, strengthen the B2B tourism network and promote Brand Andaman through direct engagement with the travel trade.
AATO thanked all participating travel agents, tour operators, tourism stakeholders and partners from Lucknow and Jaipur for their valuable support and enthusiastic participation in making both roadshows a success.
