Sri Vijaya Puram, Jan 05: Andaman Nicobar Rajya Karmachari Mahasangh of Bharatiya Mazdoor Sangh got the opportunity to meet the Union Home Minister Maneeniya Amit Shah in Lok Niwas on Sunday and welcomed with Angvastra.
The delegation presented various issues of regular employees of A & N Administration in which mainly declaration of entire UT as Hard Area for drawing Hard area allowances to all employees alongwith Special Compensatory Allowances, enhancement of age to 40 for Group B posts as adopted in UT of Ladakh, creation of Official Language posts, Blanket approval for all Deemed abolished posts, creation of Directorate of Information Technology with restructure of posts to get promotional avenues to all IT cadre employees, upgradation of pay scale of AC cadre employees, Promotion to all eligible officers for the post of HoD specially in technical departments.
A separate proposal for the absorption of DRMs was presented in detail and the union Home minister given a patient hearing and enquired various queries on the presentation and assured to have a pathway for the betterment of working class.
Apart from the employees issues various social issues were also discussed in length of these islands and assured to bring happiness among the Islanders.
It was also informed to the delegation that in every quarter a visit will be there and all issues can be resolved by talk and correspondence instead of filing court cases. The delegation was led by Mr. Jaydeep Kumar Dey, President, Mr. S. Biju Pillai, General Secretary and Mr. A. Vijay Nair, Finance Secretary of Andaman Nicobar Rajya Karmachari Mahasangh.
