
Sri Vijaya Puram, Sept 28: As part of the ongoing “Swachhata Seva Fortnight” celebrations, the Gram Panchayat Shivapuram in association with JNV Panchawati school organizes a Nukkad Natak on September 25, 2025, at PM SHRI Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya, Panchawati. The event aimed to raise awareness about maintaining sanitation and promoting a clean and green environment, particularly in marketplaces and public areas.
The Nukkad Natak creatively depicted the importance of cleanliness, the harmful effects of littering, and the collective responsibility of citizens in ensuring hygienic surroundings. The engaging performance received enthusiastic response from students, staff, and local residents.
The event was graced by the presence of Mr. Pradeep Kumar Singh, Block Development Officer (BDO), Rangat, Mr. Venkateswar Rao Pradhan GP Shivapuram , and Smti. Santha Kumari (PSM) and ward members. The dignitaries applauded the initiative and stressed the need for community participation in the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan.
Speaking at the event, Mr. Pradeep Kumar Singh highlighted the significance of behavioral change in achieving long-term sanitation goals. “Efforts like these play a vital role in instilling awareness among the youth and the community,” he said.
Mr. Venkateswar Rao, in his address, encouraged everyone to take small but consistent steps towards maintaining cleanliness in their surroundings emphasized the role of Gram Panchayat in driving local sanitation efforts and also appreciated the efforts of teachers and students of JNV for organizing Nukkad Natak in such a short notice with a social message that its everyone’s duty to keep our island clean and green.
The initiative stands as a testament to Shivapuram’s commitment to the Swachh Bharat mission and the larger vision of a cleaner, greener India. The program was organized under the overall supervision of Mr. Mohammed Haneef, Panchayat Secretary, Gram Panchayat Shivapuram.
