Port Blair, Mar. 3: The Directorate of Social Welfare, A& N Administration in collaboration with Andaman Chambers of Commerce & Industries (ACCI) conducted a meeting in the chamber of Directorate of Social Welfare regarding taking initiative to empower the Person with Disabilities (PwDs)in the workforce.
In this regard, Dr. Nitin Shakya, Director (Social Welfare), Shri Arun Srivastava, Executive Secretary, ACCI, Shri. B. Dinesh Kumar, Joint Secretary and Coordinator, ACCI, Shri. Farhan Jadwet, Chairman, Youth Wing, ACCI, Shri. Ebrahim Jadwet, Executive Member Youth Wing, ACCI, Shri. Mandeep Grewal, Executive Member Youth Wing, ACCI, Shri Vikash Lal, Past Chairman Youth Wing, ACCI attended the meeting.
In the meeting, various issues relating to the skill training and the job placement of the PwDs in the Islands were discussed. In this regard, Dr. Nitin Shakya, Director (Social Welfare) has invited fresh application exclusively for the qualified candidates with skilled individuals with disabilities (PwDs) who are interested in pursuing a career in the private sector across various job functions and levels within the private organization.
