Port Blair, 19 March: The Kesaria Hindu Vahini (KHV) in Andaman and Nicobar islands is all set to celebrate the Sanatan New Year by organizing a Bike Rally and Mahabhog on 26th March, 2023. The event is being organized every year by KHV on Ramnavami and the celebration of Sri Ram’s Janmatithi.
At a press conference held yesterday at Diviyum Manor near Airport, Lamba line, Mr. Tarun Singh, President of KHV, Pt. Ravikesh Tripathi, State Spokesperson, and Mr. Diptendu Dasgupta, National Secretary of KHV Andaman and Nicobar islands, briefed the media about the program. Other members of the organization, including LathaLall Patel, State General Secretary, Pt. Vidya Sagar Dubey, State Yuva Morcha, and Gayatri Shekhar, State Mahila Morcha, were also present.
During the press conference, Mr. Tarun Singh shared information about the ongoing activities of the organization. He informed that Kesaria Hindu Vahini was centrally registered in Andaman in the year 2019, and the founder of the trust is Atul Mishra. Mr. Singh further elaborated on the program, stating that the Bike Rally will start at 2:00 PM from Rajasthan Temple Shadipur and will end at Shri Radha Govind Temple RGT road, passing through Chakkargaon, Corbyn’s Cove junction, Austinabad, Garacharma, Lamba Line, Junglighat, Delanipur, Phoenix Bay, and Aberdeen Bazar. The Mahabhog will be organized after the yatra, and all the people are requested to participate.
Additionally, Mr. Singh highlighted the organization’s achievements in Andaman, which includes starting Bal Sanskar in Port Blair in 3 different temples, organizing self-defense classes for kids in Dairy Farm, distributing personal hygiene kits to ladies during lockdown in coordination with the District Administration, feeding street cattles and dogs during the lockdown, cremating bodies during COVID lockdown, establishing a Cath Lab in Islands with the help of political parties and the driving force of Mr. Diptendu Dasgupta, completing Sero Surveillance across the Islands to identify the community’s immunity during COVID along with ANIIMS, and coordinating with the Prime Minister’s Office and Home Ministry to shift the wife of a hospitalized person during the lockdown.
Mr. Diptendu Dasgupta, National Secretary of KHV, also urged the people of Andaman and Nicobar islands to participate in the Bike Rally and Mahabhog in a disciplined manner, wearing helmets while riding the bike.
