Port Blair, Nov 30: Referring to the pathetic condition of the employees of AN Islands Forest and Plantation Development Corporation Ltd. (ANIFPDCL), the President PCC Mr. Kuldeep Rai Sharma has written a letter on 29th Nov. 12, and requested to the Lt Governor that in case if some of the employees of the Corporation are absorbed in the services of the AN Administration prior to its taking over by the Administration, which has already accepted its taking over in principle, this will be a great help for the Corporation.
Total thirteen numbers of employees of ANIFPDL are at present working as Secretary on depuration in various Panchayats for last two to three years and have acquired good knowledge and experience in their new assignments.
Hence the President has requested to the Lt Governor to consider absorption of all these thirteen employees of ANIFPDCL in the present status as Panchayat Secretary under the AN Administration.
Sharma has further stated that such consideration will not only be beneficial to those employees and their parent department but this will be beneficial to the AN Administration too, since it will get well experienced employees as Panchayat Secretaries. In this context Sharma has also requested to give relaxation on the prescribed age bar and qualification which has been prescribed for the post of Panchayat Secretary, as most of them, while working in the Corporation have crossed the prescribed age limit and except five such candidates out of thirteen, others are under graduates but all have acquired wide experience in the post and their services have been admired by their superiors.
