Port Blair, Dec 30: The Member of Parliament, Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Mr. Kuldeep Rai Sharma has requested the Lt. Governor of Andaman and Nicobar Islands to grant one time relaxation of five years to all candidates, who have crossed the age limit for government jobs so that they can also apply for various posts, to be advertised in coming days.
In a letter, the Member of Parliament mentioned that the recent direction of the Lt. Governor to all the Departments to expedite recruitment of all vacant posts in a time-bound manner, particularly Group B (NG) and Group C posts, has brought a lot of hope to local youths.
He added that if thousands of vacant posts are filled up in a time-bound manner thousands of families in Andaman and Nicobar Islands will be benefitted and for this, Lt. Governor’s contribution for filling up these posts will be always remembered by the people of Andaman and Nicobar Islands.
The Member of Parliament further pointed out that although this move has brought a great deal of excitement among eligible local youths, thousands of other youths, who have just crossed the age limit of entering in Government Jobs, are now demanding Lt. Governor’s especial attention.
He pointed out that since the last several years, sufficient numbers of vacancies have not been filled in various departments for different reasons, because of which thousands of youths have crossed the age limit for a government job.
On this issue, the Member of Parliament requested the Lt. Governor to grant a one-time relaxation of five years to all the candidates, who have crossed the age limit for government jobs, so that they can also apply for various posts, to be advertised in coming days.
