Port Blair, Nov 24: The Advanced Diploma Course of 400 hours covering Aviation, Travel, Tourism, and Hospitality which was designed by The Islands Institute of Management, Port Blair in association with Trade Wings Institute of Management, Mumbai and launched in Port Blair in the month of April 2021 is now being introduced by leading professional institutions in Mumbai, Pune, Kolkata, Hyderabad, Bhubaneswar, Bangalore, and also New Delhi simultaneously to meet the increased demand from the airlines now operating , and also those airlines planning to operate between cities in mainland which include Port Blair said a communication from IISD.
The communication further said, that the Advanced Diploma is a Multi Tasking Course to train a candidate as an all rounder with core competencies in handling passengers in all operational areas of the airports, complete knowledge about airports and aircrafts, powered and manpowered airport machinery and equipment, air cargo handling, airport security, reservations, combined with knowledge about cruise lines, both domestic and international railways, cars and coach rental procedures, hotels and domestic and international tour packages all based on the IATA/UFTTA/FIATA courses.
In the post Covid19 scenario , all the airlines, all over the world are inclined to employ only the multi tasking hands in airport operations with an aim to increase efficiency and competency in services in aviation, travel, tourism, hospitality and related passenger services at low costs, the course is originally designed for Andaman & Nicobar Islands which now received wide acceptance in mainland, the Directors of IISD, have expressed their happiness in the communication.
According to an information, the IISD is soon introducing a training course on Andaman Tourism Management for the exclusive benefit of retired and also those soon retiring from service, so that their long experience and skills shall help in quality services to the tourists with maturity and at the same time contribute in guiding these next generation in managing a sustainable tourism.
