Port Blair, Nov 24: Due to sudden breakdown on board vehicle ferry vessel MV Pillopanja operating between Middle Strait and Baratang will be withdrawn from services w.e.f. 24.11.2021 onwards. However, in absence of MV Pilopanja, the vehicle ferry vessel MV Austin-III presently providing services between Uttara and Gandhighat will be shifted to provide services between Middle Strait and Baratang. Due to shifting of MV Austin-III, there would be only vehicle ferry vessel MVF Kadamtala to cater the services between Uttara and Gandhighat, during the period. Normal vehicle ferry operation at these routes will be restored on resumption of these vehicle ferry vessels, a release from the Shipping Department said.
