Port Blair, Oct 19: The Andaman & Nicobar Territorial Congress Committee President Mr. Rangalal Halder has extended hearty greetings to all Islanders especially muslim brethren on the eve of Eid-e-Milad-un-Nabi, which commemorates the birthday of Prophet Muhammad.
In his greeting message, Mr. Halder said “The birth anniversary of Prophet Muhammad is celebrated across the world with zeal and fervour. Prophet Muhammad taught us the lessons of compassion, mercy, tolerance and brotherhood to humanity-all of which need to be vigorously inculcated in today’s strife infested world. People irrespective of caste, colour and religion can seek guidance from the holy Prophet’s teachings as he had tremendous love and compassion for the poor and needy in particular”.
“His teachings and ideals will continue to inspire the world for building a peaceful and harmonious society” said Mr. Halder.
He also appealed all Islanders to celebrate the festival by following all precautionary norms including masks, social distancing and sanitization, as the danger of corona infection has not yet ended.
