Port Blair, Oct 19: An Inter-Departmental Open Chess Tournament 2021 will be organized by Andaman & Nicobar Teachers Association (ANTA) in collaboration with Andaman Nicobar Chess Association (ANCA) on Sunday the 31st October 2021 at Tagore college multipurpose hall, Middle Point, Port Blair.
The tournament will be an individual event which will be held over-the-board in Swiss league format. Interested players may register their names along with the Entry fee @ Rs. 250/- at the office of the Andaman Nicobar Chess Association, Prem Nagar, near electricity site office between 4.00 pm to 6.00 pm. All the Central Govt. Employees working in A & N Islands including uniformed personnel in Defence Services / Para Military Organisations/ Police/ IRB etc. are eligible to participate in the event.
Employees of Autonomous bodies/Undertakings/Public Sector Banks/Corporations even though administratively controlled by the Central Ministries/ Casual/Daily wages workers/ Employees attached to offices on temporary duty are also eligible to participate.
The general instructions as per SOP/ Guidelines of COVID-19 issued by Central/A & N Administration are to be strictly followed by all players and supporting staff during the competition.
All the participants should report at the venue at 8.20 am on 31st October 2021.
