Port Blair, Mar 08: The PHC Baratang is the only hospital available for the people of entire Baratang region, but the patients are suffering heavily due to absence of an X-Ray technician since more than two months and also a generator set, since last three years.
Mr. R Alager Swami the former up-adhyaksh of N & M Andaman, Zilla Parishad told Andaman Sheekha that in absence of an X-Ray technician now patients of Baratang region have to go to either Port Blair or Kadamtala for X-Ray report, which is very troublesome and time consuming.
He added that since last three years the PRI members of Baratang have been demanding for providing a Generator set for PHC Baratang but the Directorate of Health Service have not fulfilled the demand of people of Baratang region yet, because of which often admitted patients have to spend night in darkness in the Hospital.
He requested the new Chief Secretary through media to intervene into this matter and bring some relief for the people of Baratang region.
