Port Blair, Feb 23: All Eighty five Senior Division/Wing Naval NCC cadets fired from .22 Rifles at Birchgunj firing Range as part of their training during the second day of ongoing Annual Training Camp 2020-21. Camp Commandant, Capt (IN) V. K. Trivedi, Commanding Officer 1(AN) NUNCC briefed the Cadets on nuances of correct and accurate firing. He laid emphasis on safety precautions to be observed during firing. The cadets fired under watchful eyes of PI Staff of the unit.
Associate NCC Officer Mr K Ravi and Care Taker Dr Kusum Kumari ensured following of SOP on COVID 19 protocols by cadets during the firing. Cadets were made to practice firing in various positions such as Kneeling/Standing, in addition to standard lying position. Cadets were found to be bubbling with energy while participating in Rifle drills and firing.
Tomorrow, Cadets will be participating in Boat Pulling and Sailing competitions, there after Camp for B Certificate Cadets will get completed. However, C Certificate Cadets will continue training for two more days in the Camp.
