Port Blair, Oct 18: On 17 October 2020 evening around 8:00 PM a missing complaint was lodged in Pahargaon Police Station regarding a Territorial Army Jawan, Mr. Om Prakash Rana.
According to reports Mr. Om Prakash Rana, 38 years, of TA, resident of Army Station Brichgunj had gone for fishing with his cousin Mr. Rajesh at Kodiyaghat on 17 October afternoon.
While fishing Mr. Om Prakash Rana reportedly told his cousin that he is going to respond to Nature’s Call inside jungle but he did not return from the Jungle. Following this Mr. Rajesh went inside jungle to look for Mr. Om Prakash Rana but he could not find him.
Later he reported this matter to PS Pahargaon and the team of PS Pahargaon later this morning, found his body hanging from a tree inside Jungle. The body was later shifted to G B Pant Hospital. According to police this is a case of suicide.
