Port Blair, Oct 13: Mr. Kuldeep Rai Sharma, Member of Parliament, A&N Islands has requested the Secretary (Shipping), A&N Administration to make an immediate arrangement for sailing of boat from Port Blair to Hut Bay and vice versa to release the stranded peoples including students and patients.
He informed that due to non availability of boat to Hut Bay and vice versa, large number of peoples including students and patients are stranded at Port Blair since many days due to which they are facing various problems. Similar problems also being faced by the residents of Hut Bay, Little Andaman who are intend to visit Port Blair for the purpose of medical treatment and other domestic works. Therefore, keeping in view of the difficulties being faced by them, the Member of Parliament has insisted the Secretary (Shipping) to make arrangements for sailing of boat from Port Blair to Hut Bay and vice versa for transportation of stranded peoples from either side.
