Port Blair, Sept 23: The Port Blair Municipal Council elected in 2015 for a period of 5 years assumed office on 24/09/2015 and the tenure of the council ended on 23/09/2020.
The Chairperson PBMC called a press conference today to brief the activities done in various spectrum of developments in last five years. He conveyed regards to the Lt. Governor’s, Chief Secretaries & Secretaries of PBMC of the last 5 years who were guiding the Municipal Council as it is in path of progress today.
The Chairperson released a Compendium of works done in last 5 years namely ‘FOOTPRINTS’ and the first copy was received by Secretary, PBMC.
As the election to the Port Blair Municipal Council could not conducted owing to Pandemic, the Lt. Governor (Administrator), A&N Islands appointed Mr. S.K Singh, Secretary (Tourism) as Special Officer/Administrator to PBMC as a interim measure till regular election is conducted.
