Port Blair, June 05: A resident of Dollygunj has reported the Wildlife Department of South Andaman, Port Blair of sighting a Crocodile near to his home three days back. The complainant has also submitted the photographs to the wildlife unit, it is learned.
After the complain of sighting a Crocodile in Dollygunj area of South Andaman was reported to the Wildlife Department, the team members under the leadership of Deputy Ranger, Manjit Singh immediately swung into action, however, even after a search operation of 02-03 days they weren’t able to trace the Crocodile.
Some residents of the area claim that the person might have sighted some Lizard and not a Crocodile, as according to them they have already sighted the amphibian earlier in the past.
Andaman Sheekha has learned that the unit of the Wildlife Department is on alert and is waiting for the next sighting of the creatures, to reach to a conclusion.
