Port Blair, June 05: Body of a fisherman from Thuthokodi was found floating in sea near Junglighat Fisherman Jetty yesterday morning. The search for the body was carried out by Staffs of PS Aberdeen after a complaint was lodged in PS Aberdeen about missing of the said fisherman.
As per report the deceased, Mariya Joseph, 42 years, is a resident of Thuthokodi and was living in a fishing boat, berthed near Junglighat Jetty. He was missing since 3rd June night. It is believed he was drunk on 3rd June 2020 night and because of this he fell down into water.
COVID19 test was done on the body which came negative it is learnt. After post mortem his body will be sent to Chennai tomorrow it is reported.
