Rangat, May 11: A pharmacy shop owner at Rangat has been arrested by the Kalighat Police Unit for selling abortion pills to a 17-year-old minor.
As per reports, the 17-year-old girl who belongs from North Andaman region was staying in a house at Middle Andaman region and was found two months pregnant by the doctors to whom she visited recently.
As per sources, after the youth, who was in relation with the girl, when came to know that the girl is pregnant, he bought the abortion pills from the pharmacy of Rangat.
After having the drug, when the girl had implications, the matter was reported to the Kalighat Police Station following which the youth and the pharmacy shop owner has been arrested. It is learned that the pharmacy has also been sealed by the Kalighat Police Unit today. Further details in this regard are awaited.
