Port Blair, April 27: After several states made some special arrangements and brought back the students of their states from Kota, Psychological stress has taken a toll among the parents, whose wards are still stranded in Kota, Rajasthan and belong to the Andaman and Nicobar Islands.
As per reports, around 07 students and a mother of the student are stranded in the Kota, Rajasthan since the lockdown.
Things were normal when thousands of students from different states were struck at Kota together but since some states made special arrangements and brought their students back, a feeling of loneliness, during need, has come into the mind of the stranded students of Andaman and Nicobar Islands, struck in Kota.
The parents of the students are trying their level best and approaching all the concerned authorities to bring their wards back, but till now parents have not got a satisfactory reply.
“No classes are being conducted for our wards and already one month they had spent in Kota, away from the home since lockdown. My ward is also staying hardly 10 kilometers away from the hotspot in a PG, hence, I request all the higher authorities to take this demand into cognizance and bring my daughter and her companions back from Kota properly after a screening,” said Mr. Sudhir Biswas, a parent.
The matter has also been raised by the former Member of Parliament, Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Mr. Bishnu Pada Ray in a letter addressed to the Home Minister recently.
“I have got message/SOS from Ms. Barsha Biswas (mob No. 993329344), Allen Institute near Land mark city and Rajiv Gandhi Nagar, in Kota District, Rajasthan that 8 persons (7 students and one parent-mother of a student) from Andamans are struck at Kota, Rajasthan due to lockdown. It has been gathered other states have already taken back the students of their states by making special arrangement,” the former MP said in his letter dated 23.04.2020.
