Port Blair, Dec 23: With a view to keep Andaman Swatch, various activities are conducted by the Andaman Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ACCI) with an objective to put the Andaman Islands in the global tourism map and also to promote and create awareness for a healthy life-style. Accordingly, ACCI in association with M/s Hindustan Coca-Cola Beverages Pvt Ltd. (HCCB) donated 2250 dust bins (750 x 3 – Red, Blue and Green) to the 750 households of Shaheed Dweep for segregation of wastes by the residents of Shaheed Dweep.
These 2250 Red, Blue and Green colour dust bins were handed over to Shri Abhishek Dev, IAS, Secretary (Rural Development) in presence of Shri Vinay Kumar Jindal, Director (Rural Development) so that these dust bins can be distributed to the households of Shaheed Dweep through Panchayat Pradhans. One household will get 3 dust bins of Red, Blue and Green Colour for easy segregation of solid waste at source.
