Port Blair, Nov 14: An Employee, belonging to Scheduled Tribe Category, of the Revenue Department has lodged a written complaint against the Assistant Commissioner (HQ) to the Chief Secretary after he was allegedly insulted by AC (HQ), in front of the public and his subordinate staffs.
In a letter addressed to the Chief Secretary, the ST employee who himself is a Class I Gazetted Officer stated that on 25th October, 2019, the Assistant Commissioner (HQ) insulted his name in public and his subordinate staffs that too in his chamber.
The employee further stated that the Assistant Commissioner (HQ) have spoken bad words about him in front of the public and his subordinate staff. “Since then I am in a mental agony and deep depression as I am unable to face my subordinates after the incident,” the employee stated in his letter.
The employee has also requested the Chief Secretary to transfer him to some other post, at the earliest because he is feeling very embarrassed to work at the same place and has also stated that if no action is taken against the AC, Headquarter, for his deeds, being a ST, he will approach the National Commission of SC and ST, New Delhi seeking justice.
It is learned that a few other employees are going to raise their voice against the AC, Headquarter very soon for alleged misbehaving with subordinates.
