Port Blair, Nov 04: In an effort to upgrade the skills of various officials from Central & State Government Departments, Academic Institutions, PSUs, etc., National Productivity Council (NPC) kick started a residential training program on “Project Management & Financial Management” today at Port Blair. Director Industry, Andaman and Nicobar Administration, Ajit Anand was the Chief Guest on the occasion. The training is being attended by around 25 participants from different PSUs, Ministries, Academic Institutes, Corporations, and various other centre and state departments.
Director Industry, Andaman and Nicobar Administration, Ajit Anand was the Chief Guest on the occasion. Speaking to the participants of the program, Shri Anand gave an overview of the progress made in various sectors of the industry in the islands. He highlighted the upcoming and ongoing major developmental projects like laying of undersea optical fibre cable that is expected to change the business scenario of the islands. He also gave a brief overview of the tourism development in the islands.
Earlier, welcoming the Chief Guest and the participants, Shri Rajesh Sund, Program Coordinator and Director Economic Services NPC gave a brief overview of the mission, objectives and activities of NPC. The training program will conclude on 7th of November, 2019.
