Port Blair, Oct 31: Due to sudden breakdown of one of the vehicle ferry vessel viz. MV North Bay presently operating between Middle Strait and Baratang, from 31.10.2019, the vehicle ferry services in the above route has got affected and presently services of only one vehicle ferry vessel is available in the above ATR route to tranship passengers and vehicles.
“Though the Directorate is making all out efforts to repair and resume the above breakdown vehicle ferry vessel at the earliest, however till such time the passengers/ commuters travelling to North and Middle Andaman are advised to kindly cooperate and plan their journey accordingly, so as to avoid inconvenience and difficulty. The inconvenience caused to passenger in this regard is regretted,” a release from DSS said.
