Port Blair, Oct 23: In yet another case of brutal and fatal attack in Islands, a man reportedly attacked his wife and in-laws with a Machete, killing one and leaving four others injured. The accused however also sustained fatal injuries during the attack.
According to reports the accused, Mr. Sukumar Jaidhar, a resident of Wandoor and a fisherman by profession, went to Shaitan Khadi, house of his in-laws and attacked the family. The husband reportedly had doubt that his wife, Saraswati Jaidar, is having extra-marital affairs.
During attack when father of the wife, Mr. Chitaranjan Dhali and mother Mrs. Sandhya Dhali, sister Bimla Dhali came for help and they also suffered serious injuries. Mr. Chitaranjan Dhali reportedly suffered maximum injuries and soon succumbed to his injuries.
Condition of the accused, Mr. Sukumar Jaidhar, who suffered fatal injuries during attack is also said to be serious. One child also suffered injuries in this attack it is learnt.
