Swarajdweep, Oct 22: In yet another accident of electricity department employee falling from electric pole and dying, a Mazdoor of Electricity Department Mr. T Rama Rao, today fell from an electric pole and died on the spot at Swarajdweep.
As per rule only line-men should be allowed to climb of electric poles but in many cases it was seen in past too that Mazdoors are made to climb on electric poles, which results in accident.
In this case absence of any safety equipments for the employees is another major lapse of the concerned officers.
The Administration must investigate this matter thoroughly and take necessary action or else more people will become victim of such negligence in electricity. Mr. T Rama Rao is not the first person to die because of the negligence of the department and if nothing is done now, he won’t be the last, people believe.
