Port Blair, Oct 22: The Lt. Governor, A & N Islands has reportedly suspended 03 senior most Engineers of Andaman Public Works Department today following an alleged case of corruption against them.
As per reports, Mr Yaasvi Parekh, Executive Engineer, Dwipendra Das, Assistant Engineer and Sajan T Ommen, EE-incharge, Andaman Public Works Department has been suspended for an alleged case of corruption that was reported during the year 2007-2008 when they were posted in the Zilla Parishad on deputation.
Talking to Andaman Sheekha, a top most officer of APWD on the condition of anonymity confirmed about the suspension of these Engineers and also said that the alleged corruption case for which the engineers were suspended were the works of South Andaman ZP not APWD.
