Port Blair, Oct 18: The Chairperson, National Commission for Women (NCW), Smti. Rekha Sharma will be arriving here tomorrow on a four day visit to the A&N Islands from Oct. 19 to 22, 2019. During the visit, the Chairperson is scheduled to hold interaction programme with the Police Officers on ‘Gender Sensitization’ on Oct 19 in the conference hall of Police Headquarters at 4 pm. On Oct 21, the Chairperson (NCW) will hold meeting with the Officials of A & N Administration regarding implementation of Central Government Scheme for Women in the Islands in the Mini Conference Hall of Secretariat at 3.30 pm.
On Oct 22, the Chairperson is scheduled to inaugurate the Capacity Building Programme for Police Officers regarding investigation of crimes against women in collaboration with National Commission for Women at Police Training School, Prothrapur at 10 am. The Chairperson is also scheduled to visit various places of tourist interest during the visit.
