Port Blair, Oct 17: In a yet shocking incident, a prepaid mobile customer of Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited was hoodwinked by a misleading and outdated SMS of BSNL.
Customer Mr. J Vignesh, who lost a good amount of money, alleged that, he received an SMS from BSNL in his mobile number 9474218071 on 05th October, 2019, wherein, it was stated that with recharge of Rs 1699 he would be benefitted with 15 months unlimited voice call, 100 SMS per day and also he will get 750 MB of data per day following which he immediately recharged his mobile number with the offered package but to his utter dismay he received the benefit for only 250 minutes per day.
Later, when the customer Mr. J Vignesh registered the complaint with the BSNL customer care services in this regard he was told that the above mentioned offer was stopped from 26th August, 2019, itself and he will get the refund.
“When the above mentioned offer lasted till dated 26th August, 2019, itself, then why BSNL sent misleading and outdated SMS to me on 05th October, 2019, it is there mismanagement and I require the benefits and not the refund,” said Mr. J Vignesh.
Hoodwinked customer Mr. J Vignesh has also registered a written complaint in this regard to the BSNL authorities enclosing the copy of the message and demanded the benefits as per the message he received from BSNL.
